ORIGIN: Mesopotamian (Sumerian)
INFORMATION: According to legend, he was sent to earth by the gods Enlil and Enki, to work in conjunction with the grain goddess Asnan. In iconography he usually has ears of corn sprouting from his shoulders. He may also carry a bow and club and is often depicted with a ram at his feet.
